1.5L Whiskey Barrel Dispenser Oak Aging Barrels Home Whiskey Barrel Decanter ...

About this barrel

This 1.5L whiskey barrel decanter works as both a serving piece and an aging tool. It's made of oak and listed new at $64.49. On a bar cart it gets people talking while it mellows a young whiskey, rum or brandy.

Decanter or aging barrel: which is this 1.5 liter oak barrel?

Both. Anything you leave inside picks up oak flavor over time. If you only want to serve from it, empty it within a few days. If you want to age, leave it longer and taste as you go.

• Soak the wood in water first so the joints seal.
• Look in the listing for the finish, char level and dimensions.
• Check that the tap and stand match the photos.
• Rinse and refill promptly so the barrel never sits empty and dries out.
