VTG 1 Liter Oak Aging Barrel & Wood Stand Bung Spigot - Mini Whiskey Barrel Bar

About this barrel

Small, vintage and fully equipped, this 1 liter oak aging barrel comes with a wood stand, a bung and a spigot. It's a used mini whiskey barrel that can still look great on a bar cart and could start a quick aging project.

How long should you age whiskey in a 1L mini barrel?

There's no set time. One liter of liquid gets a lot of wood contact, so taste it every few days and stop when it's right. A previously used barrel may work more slowly than a fresh one.

• It's listed as used, so check the photos for cracks, stains or loose hoops.
• Ask the seller what it held before, since earlier spirits can carry over in flavor.
• Swell it with water until it stops leaking before the first real fill.
• Make sure the spigot turns smoothly and seals.
