20L Vertical Wooden Wine Barrel w/ Faucet&Bracket for storing whiskey, rum, brandy

About this barrel

Here is a 20L oak barrel with a faucet and bracket, aimed at people who want to age whiskey, rum or brandy themselves. It is listed new at $87.89 by an independent eBay seller.

What do the faucet and bracket add?

Convenience, mainly. The bracket holds the vertical barrel in place and the faucet lets you draw a sample without tipping it, which matters when you are tasting every few days.

• Compare against the 15L and 30L barrels if you are unsure about capacity.
• Fill with water first to swell the oak before adding spirits.
• Small barrels age faster, so do not leave it unattended for too long.
• Look in the listing for care instructions or accessories.
