20L Vertical Wooden Wine Barrel w/ Faucet&Bracket for storing whiskey, rum, brandy

About this barrel

Standing upright instead of lying on its side, this 20L vertical wooden wine barrel comes with a faucet and bracket for storing whiskey, rum or brandy. The new oak barrel is listed at $87.90.

Why pick a 20L vertical wooden wine barrel over a horizontal one?

An upright barrel usually takes up less width on a counter or bar than one lying in a cradle. It's a sensible choice if you're short on floor or shelf space.

• Check the photos to see how the bracket holds the barrel.
• 20 liters is about 5.3 gallons, so plan for the weight once it's full.
• Swell it with water first and watch for drips around the faucet.
• The listing doesn't say how the inside is treated, so ask about char or toast.
