20L Vertical Wooden Wine Barrel w/ Faucet&Bracket for storing whiskey, rum, brandy

About this barrel

Few things start a conversation like pouring a dram straight from the wood. This oak spirits barrel holds 20 liters, stands upright on a bracket and pours through a faucet, which makes it a natural centerpiece for tasting nights. An eBay seller lists it new at $95.50.

How can an oak spirits barrel improve a home tasting?

Fill it with whiskey, rum or brandy weeks ahead. Then let guests compare the barrel pour with the same spirit straight from the bottle. The contrast shows what oak actually does.

• Set out small glasses and water for side-by-side tasting.
• Label the fill date so you know how long it has been aging.
• Confirm the dimensions so it fits your table or sideboard.
• Swell it with water well before your first event.
