20L Vertical Wooden Wine Barrel w/ Faucet&Bracket for storing whiskey, rum, brandy

About this barrel

A 20L oak aging barrel rewards a little ongoing care. This one is a new vertical oak cask with a faucet and bracket, listed at $95.50 for whiskey, rum or brandy. Like most oak barrels, it can be reused for more than one batch if the wood stays healthy between fills.

How do you care for a 20L oak aging barrel between batches?

The main risk is drying out. Empty staves shrink and open gaps, so plan your next fill quickly or keep the barrel wet in the meantime.

• Refill promptly, or store it filled with water for short gaps.
• Rinse and flush the faucet after draining.
• Keep it away from heaters and direct sun.
• Expect later batches to take longer, because the oak gives up less flavor each time.

Look after the wood and it will keep working for you. The eBay Money Back Guarantee covers the purchase.
