5L/1.32Gal Aging Barrel Wooden Whiskey Barrel Bourbon Wine Barrel Home

About this barrel

If you want to try finishing bourbon at home, a 5 liter oak whiskey aging barrel is a sensible starting size. At 1.32 gallons it fits on a counter or bar shelf, and this new one is listed by an independent eBay seller for $38.88.

How fast does a 5 liter oak whiskey aging barrel work?

Much faster than a full-size cask, because more of the spirit touches wood. Many people start tasting after a week or so and pull it when it tastes right.

• Fill it with water first and let the wood swell until any drips stop.
• Use an inexpensive bourbon or white whiskey for the first batch.
• Look at the photos and description to see what hardware comes with it.
• Your purchase is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
