1 Liter Hybrid Whiskey Aging Oak Barrel

About this barrel

A 1 liter hybrid whiskey aging oak barrel is a compact way to try barrel finishing at home without committing to a big cask. This new listing is priced at $40.00, and the small 1.0L size gives a high ratio of wood to liquid, so flavor and color develop faster than in large barrels.

What does "hybrid" mean on a 1 liter hybrid whiskey aging barrel?

The title doesn't explain it, so read the seller's description or ask before buying. Also check the char level, the finish, and whether a spigot or stand is included.

• Swell first: fill it with water and let the staves tighten before adding spirits.
• Taste often: mini barrels can over-oak in weeks, so sample regularly.
• Beyond whiskey: small oak casks also suit rum, cocktails or vinegar.
• Buyer protection: purchases are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.

A good pick for a first home aging project or a gift for a bourbon fan.
