Rare Vintage American Brewing Co Wooden Barrel Keg Rochester NY

About this barrel

Collectors of Rochester, NY breweriana should know about this vintage American Brewing Co wooden barrel keg. The seller calls it rare, and an independent eBay seller lists it used at $499.99.

How do you judge a vintage American Brewing Co keg from Rochester, NY?

Start with the markings. A legible brewery name and city are what make a keg collectible instead of a plain barrel. Then look at its overall condition and whether it's complete.

• Ask whether the markings are stamped, stenciled or on a label.
• Ask for the size, since no dimensions are listed.
• Look for gaps between the staves from shrinkage.
• Check whether the ends are loose or have been replaced.

Display it on a back bar, on a shelf or in a basement taproom, away from strong heat so the wood stays stable. It could anchor an Upstate New York collection. The sale is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
