About this barrel
A vintage Bacardi rum barrel with stand can become the centerpiece of a home bar. This one is listed by an independent eBay seller at $500, with its condition marked as unspecified.
Is a vintage Bacardi barrel worth $500?
That depends on the markings, size and condition, and the listing gives few details beyond the title. Branded rum barrels appeal to tiki and barware collectors, so how clearly the logo shows matters a lot.
- Ask for close-up photos of the Bacardi branding.
- Ask for the dimensions of both the barrel and the stand.
- Find out whether the stand is original or was added later.
- Look for loose hoops or dried-out staves with gaps.
With the condition unspecified, do your homework before buying. Then picture it in a tiki lounge, a basement bar or on a patio. The eBay Money Back Guarantee covers the purchase.
