Oak Barrel 5 liter Steel Hoop Whiskey Wine Beer wood barrel - free engraving

About this barrel

A 5 liter oak barrel is a step up from a mini. It holds a batch big enough to share and still ages faster than a full-size cask. This one has steel hoops, includes free engraving according to the title, and is listed new at $63.00.

Why choose a 5L oak aging barrel over a smaller one?

More volume means the wood flavor comes through more slowly and steadily. That gives you more time to taste and empty the barrel before the spirit gets too woody. This size is a common middle ground for whiskey, wine or barrel-aged beer.

• Engraving: check how to send your text and any limits.
• Char: the title doesn't list a char level, so look in the description.
