10L Barrel Cask Wooden Storager For Wine Brandy Whiskey Beer Dispenser Keg

About this barrel

First barrel? This new 10 liter oak barrel keg is listed for wine, brandy, whiskey and beer, so it can grow with your hobby. Here's how to get it ready.

How do you prepare a new 10L oak barrel before filling?

Rinse it, fill it with clean water and let it sit. Small leaks are normal at first and usually close as the wood swells, which can take anywhere from a day to several days.

• Step 1: fit the tap (if included) and the bung, then fill it with water.
• Step 2: top it off as the wood soaks up water, and wait until the dripping stops.
• Step 3: drain it and fill it with your wine, spirit or beer.
• Step 4: taste regularly. A 10L cask ages more slowly than a mini.
