About this barrel
Winemakers and spirit fans alike can put this 5L oak wine barrel to work, whether for resting a homemade red or finishing a bourbon. It holds 1.32 gallons, is new, and is listed by an independent eBay seller for $29.49.
Is a 5L oak wine barrel too small for wine?
It is small, which means oak flavor arrives quickly. That suits short finishing periods; taste often and rack the wine out before it turns overly woody.
- Swell and rinse the barrel with water before adding wine.
- Keep it full, as headspace invites oxidation.
- A wine barrel this size can later become a vinegar barrel.
- Covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
