5L/1.32Gal Aging Barrel Wooden Whiskey Barrel Bourbon Wine Barrel Home

About this barrel

Here is a 5L oak aging barrel for whiskey, bourbon and wine that is small enough for a shelf or countertop. At 1.32 gallons, it is listed as new by an independent eBay seller for $77.76.

Is 5 liters a good starter barrel size?

Many beginners pick this size because it fills with a couple of bottles' worth of spirit and works fast. The trade-off is quick extraction, so taste often to avoid a woody result.

• Swell the barrel with water before the first fill.
• Choose bourbon or whiskey you already like for a first test.
• The listing says it is for home use; read it for stand or tap details.
• Rinse and store it properly between batches.

It is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee, and the seller page lists any further specifics.
