NEW 1 Gallon (5L) BOURBON Whiskey Beer BARREL - THICK American Oak Wood #3 CHAR

About this barrel

For bold, bourbon-style flavor, this 5L bourbon barrel with #3 char is made of thick American oak and listed new on eBay for $85.00. The seller sells it as a 1 gallon (5L) cask for whiskey and beer.

What does a #3 char level mean?

A #3 char is a medium-heavy burn and is closely tied to bourbon. It usually gives caramel, vanilla and toasted notes along with a deeper amber color.

• Thick staves may help it last longer, but you still need to swell it with water before use.
• The title lists both 1 gallon and 5L, which aren't the same, so check the exact capacity with the seller.
• Age a stout or porter in it after a whiskey batch to make barrel-aged beer.
• Taste weekly. A small charred cask works much faster than a full-size distillery barrel.
