5L Oak Whiskey Barrel Dispenser Decanter for Wine Spirits Beer Liquor - Brown

About this barrel

If a mini barrel is too small for your gatherings, a 5L oak whiskey barrel dispenser holds a lot more wine, spirits, beer or liquor for serving. This brown unit is new and listed at $79.67 by an independent eBay seller.

Is a 5 liter barrel better than a 1 or 2 liter?

It depends on what you want. A 5 liter oak barrel ages more slowly than the minis because less of the liquid touches wood. That gives you more control and a bigger batch to share.

• Prep: swell it with water before the first fill to tighten the seams.
• Inside: charring isn't mentioned, so check the listing.
• Serving: check the photos for the tap and stand.
• Uses: holiday parties, homemade spiced rum or a house red.
