3L Distillery Grade Charred Oak Aging Barrel for Whiskey, Rum & Wine 3 Liter

About this barrel

Want barrel character in weeks instead of years? A 3 liter charred oak aging barrel is a popular size for aging whiskey at home because so much of the small volume touches the charred wood. This distillery-grade cask is listed as new and works for whiskey, rum and wine.

How fast does a 3L whiskey barrel age spirits?

Much faster than a full-size cask, so taste often. A small barrel can over-oak a spirit if you forget about it, especially on the first fill.

• Soak it in water until it stops leaking, then drain it and fill it.
• Start tasting within the first week or two.
• Check the listing for the char level and whether a stand, bung or spigot is included.
• After a whiskey fill, try rum or wine in it for layered flavor.

It's sold by an independent eBay seller and covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
