Hammer and Axe Wood Whiskey Barrel 800 ML 26 FL OZ For Spirits New in Box

About this barrel

If you're a whiskey fan or like to experiment with cocktails on a budget, this oak whiskey barrel is $14. The Hammer and Axe listing is new in box. It holds 800ml (the title says 26 fl oz) and is made for spirits.

What's the best spirit for a first 800ml barrel batch?

An unaged or young whiskey shows what the barrel does most clearly. Rum and brandy also work well.

• Before the first fill: soak it in water until the wood is tight and the outside stays dry.
• After a week: taste it. Small barrels can add oak and color fast.
• Afterward: refill it soon, or leave a little liquid inside so it doesn't dry out.
• In the box: check the photos for a tap, stand and bung.

It's a good gift for a host, a dad or anyone who's into whiskey. The seller is independent, and the eBay Money Back Guarantee covers the purchase.
