Hammer & Axe Wood Whiskey Barrel NEW 800 ML/ 27 FL

About this barrel

At $11.26, this Hammer & Axe oak whiskey barrel is one of the cheaper ways to get an 800ml (27 fl oz) aging barrel. The seller's title says new, but the listing condition is open box. Expect opened packaging and confirm the contents with the seller.

Why pick an 800ml oak whiskey barrel over a larger one?

Speed and control. With less liquid touching more wood, a mini barrel can change a spirit's color and flavor in days to weeks instead of years.

• Fill the barrel with water before its first use.
• Taste often so the oak doesn't overpower the spirit.
• Ask about the char level if the listing doesn't show it.
• You can refill it for a second batch, though it usually adds less flavor each time.

The purchase is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee, so you can buy with some peace of mind.
