THOUSAND OAKS BARREL 1 Gallon Charred Oak Aging Barrel, 5 Liter Bourbon Whiskey

About this barrel

The Thousand Oaks Barrel 1 gallon charred oak aging barrel is listed new at $170.70. The title also calls it a 5 liter barrel and pitches it for bourbon and whiskey. A charred interior is the classic setup for brown spirits: it adds color and caramel-like oak notes as the liquid soaks in and out of the wood.

How big is this Thousand Oaks charred oak aging barrel?

The title gives two sizes that don't match: a US gallon is about 3.8L, not 5L. Check the item description for the exact capacity.

• The title doesn't give a char level, so look in the listing if you have a preference.
• Soak the barrel with water first so the staves swell and seal.
• Try new-make or young whiskey and taste it weekly.
• Check the photos to see whether a stand, bung or spigot is included.

It's sold by an independent eBay seller and covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
