Personalize Engraved “Jami’s” 1 L. Oak Barrel - Wine, Bourbon, & Whiskey Barrel

About this barrel

This engraved 1 liter oak barrel already has a name on it: “Jami’s.” If that's you, or someone you're shopping for, it makes a ready-made personalized gift for wine, bourbon or whiskey. An independent eBay seller lists this used mini cask at $30.

Can a used engraved 1 liter oak barrel still age spirits?

Often, yes, but it depends on how it was stored and what it held. Ask the seller about its history.

• Re-swell: fill it with warm water and wait for the staves to seal before you add spirits.
• Speed: a 1L barrel ages quickly, so taste it about once a week.
• Engraving: zoom in on the photos to check the lettering.
• Display: even if you stop using it, a barrel with a name on it looks good on a home bar shelf.
