1.5L Oak Whiskey Barrel Dispenser Decanter for Wine Spirits Beer Liquor Brown

About this barrel

Picture a 1.5L oak whiskey barrel dispenser on your bar cart, filled with bourbon that picks up a little more wood character every week. The seller lists this new brown oak decanter for wine, spirits, beer and liquor, so it can work as an aging cask or simply as a good-looking place to pour from.

How fast does a 1.5 liter barrel age whiskey?

Quickly. In a mini barrel, more of the liquid touches the wood, so taste it after a week or two and pour it off once you like the flavor.

• Soak it with water before the first fill so the staves seal.
• The char or toast level isn't listed, so ask the seller before you buy.
• Check the photos to see whether a spigot, bung and stand are included.
• Refill between batches so the wood doesn't dry out.
