10L Barrel Cask Wooden Storager For Wine Brandy Whiskey Beer Dispenser Keg

About this barrel

Brandy and oak have a long partnership, and a 10L oak brandy barrel lets you explore it without a distillery budget. This new cask comes from an independent eBay seller for $54.93 and is described as suitable for wine, whiskey and beer too, so it can earn its keep between brandy batches.

What does a 10L oak brandy barrel do to the spirit?

Wood contact can round off harsh edges and add vanilla, spice and color. In a 10-liter barrel that happens faster than in large casks, which is why regular tasting matters.

• Start with a water soak until leaks stop, then drain and fill.
• Pull a sample every week or two and note changes.
• Bottle once it hits your preferred balance to avoid over-oaking.
• Char or toast level is not given, so check the item description.
