Red Head Barrels 10L Charred Oak Aging Barrel Whiskey Rum Wine Distillery

About this barrel

When home distillers outgrow 2L and 3L minis, many look at a 10L charred oak aging barrel next. This Red Head Barrels cask is one of those. An independent eBay seller lists it new at $142.83, and the title names whiskey, rum, wine and distillery use.

Is a 10 liter charred barrel right for your batch size?

Ten liters holds a little over 13 standard 750 ml bottles. It ages more slowly than a small cask, and many people like that because the result tastes smoother and more balanced.

• The char level isn't given, so ask the seller.
• Fill it with water first. A bigger cask needs extra time to seal.
• Make sure you have room for it, and check the listing to see if a stand is included.
• Your purchase is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
