wine barrel rack, brown, Oak full size barrel, restored

About this barrel

Wine storage can double as furniture. This restored oak wine barrel rack is built around a full size barrel, listed at about 200 L, with a brown finish. An independent eBay seller offers it used for $400.00.

Is a wine barrel rack practical for everyday storage?

It can be, depending on how it's laid out. The title doesn't say how many bottles it holds or whether the barrel itself is the rack, so check the photos and ask the seller how it's set up.

• Ask what the restoration involved, such as sanding, staining or new hoops.
• Measure your space first, because a full size barrel takes up a lot of floor.
• Confirm how the bottles are held and whether glass storage is included.
• It suits a dining room, cellar or tasting area.
