0.8L Visualized Oak Aging Barrel Stand Bung Mini

About this barrel

Want a 0.8 liter oak aging barrel to test small batches before you commit to a bigger cask? This new mini barrel comes with a stand and bung, according to the title. An independent eBay seller has it listed at $172.01.

Is a 0.8 liter oak aging barrel too small to be useful?

Not if you want speed and control. A barrel this small suits single-bottle experiments and aged cocktails, and it makes a striking gift for a whiskey fan.

• It holds about one standard bottle, so trial batches stay affordable.
• Soak it with water until the leaks stop before the first fill.
• The title doesn't explain the word “visualized,” so check the photos to see what it means.
• Check the description for the finish, the char level and whether a spigot is included.
