Wine Barrel, Wood Wine Barrel, Decorative Whiskey Barrel Bucket For Rum, Brandy

About this barrel

This wood wine barrel bucket is listed in the aging category, with rum, brandy and whiskey named in the title. It is oak, new, and priced at $103.95 from an independent eBay seller.

How do you age rum or brandy in a wood barrel bucket?

Fill the barrel after swelling it with water, then taste the spirit every so often. The smaller the barrel, the faster the oak flavor builds, so capacity matters. The title does not give one, so find it in the listing.

• Check the dimensions and liter capacity before you buy.
• Look closely at the opening and lid in the photos.
• Rum and brandy both take on vanilla and wood notes from oak.
• Ask the seller about any interior char or lining.
