Wine Barrel, Wood Wine Barrel, Decorative Whiskey Barrel Bucket For Rum, Brandy

About this barrel

Gift shoppers and tasting-room owners both look for wood wine barrel decor that feels authentic, and this new oak bucket-style barrel fits the bill. It's aimed at rum and brandy fans and offered by an independent eBay seller for $112.40.

Is a decorative wine barrel a good gift for a spirits fan?

For someone who already owns the glassware and decanters, an oak barrel accent is a thoughtful extra. Because it's sold as decor, give it as a display piece, not an aging cask.

• Check scale: the size isn't specified, so read the description for measurements.
• Style it: set a tray on top, or fill it with dried flowers or wine corks.
• Personalize: a ribbon or tag works well for gifting.
• Care: keep it dry and out of direct sun.
