20L Vertical Wooden Wine Barrel w/ Faucet&Bracket for storing whiskey, rum, brandy

About this barrel

At 20 liters, this 20L vertical wooden wine barrel is a big step up from tabletop minis. The new oak barrel comes with a faucet and bracket, and an independent eBay seller lists it at $76.99 for storing whiskey, rum or brandy.

What's a vertical 20 liter barrel good for?

Standing upright saves floor space and puts the faucet at an easy height. The larger volume means slower, gentler oak flavor, which suits keeping spirits longer or a batch of homemade wine.

• Swell it with water before filling, since a barrel this size can take longer to seal.
• Check the listing to see whether the inside is charred, toasted or bare wood.
• Check the photos for the bracket style and faucet material.
• Pick the spot first, since a full 20L barrel is heavy to move.
