About this barrel
Hosting a crowd? This vintage-look 30L wood barrel dispenser holds far more than a mini cask, so it makes a practical centerpiece for serving beer, wine, brandy, tequila, whiskey, rum or port. It's new, made of oak and listed at $58.95.
How do you prepare a 30L wood wine barrel dispenser for first use?
Rinse it, fill it with clean water and let it sit until the staves swell and any leaking stops. Bigger barrels can take longer to seal, so start well before your event.
- Listing check: confirm the 30L capacity, the tap type and whether a stand is included.
- Aging pace: it ages more slowly than small barrels, which suits longer, more patient aging.
- Dedicate it: oak absorbs flavors, so many owners keep one barrel per drink.
- Weight: a full 30L barrel is heavy, so set it on a sturdy surface.
