American Oak Barrel 2L Chalkboard Front Charred Mini Keg for Bourbon Scotch

About this barrel

Ever forgotten what's in a barrel or when you filled it? This charred American oak barrel with a chalkboard front fixes that. You can write the spirit, fill date and tasting notes right on the front. The 2L mini keg is new and listed at $100.73, and the title names bourbon and Scotch.

Can you finish Scotch in a charred mini keg?

You can. But fresh char adds strong vanilla and spice that can overpower lighter whiskies. Keep the time short and taste often. Bourbon and rye can handle longer stays.

• Fill it with water before the first use so the wood swells and seals.
• Wipe the chalkboard clean between batches.
• Check the photos for the spigot and stand.
• It makes a personal gift you can relabel anytime.
