30L/7.93Gal Wine Barrel For Home Brewing Freestanding Whiskey Barrel With Stand

About this barrel

The largest of the barrels in this group, this 30L (7.93 gal) wine barrel stands on its own with a stand included in the title. It is listed new at $103.95 by an independent eBay seller for home brewing and whiskey.

Is a 30L wine barrel too big for home brewing?

It depends on your batch size and your space. At about 8 gallons, it can take a full batch, but it needs a stable floor spot and some planning before you fill it.

• Larger barrels age more gently than small ones, so expect a slower change in flavor.
• Swell the barrel with water before the first fill and watch for leaks.
• Measure your space, then compare it with the dimensions in the listing.
• Ask the seller about the interior finish and whether a tap is included.

The oak construction suits whiskey, wine or beer projects. Covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
