Engraved Charred American Oak Aging Barrel, Whiskey Bourbon Wine Cask

About this barrel

Whether it holds bourbon, rye or a red blend, an engraved charred oak aging barrel makes the process feel personal. This new American oak cask is listed for whiskey, bourbon or wine at $73.06.

What size is this engraved bourbon cask?

The title doesn't say, and the seller may offer more than one capacity, so check the size before checking out. Smaller barrels age faster, while larger ones give a slower, gentler oak flavor.

• Charred oak gives the vanilla and caramel notes bourbon drinkers expect.
• Charred oak can taste bold in wine, so start tasting early.
• Fill it with water to swell the staves before adding spirits.
• Check what the engraving says, or whether you can customize it.
