30L Vintage Wood Wine Barrel Dispenser for Beer Brandy Tequila Whiskey Rum Port

About this barrel

A 30L oak wine barrel is a big step up from countertop minis. It holds enough for a batch of homemade wine, a party-sized pour of beer, or a long rest for whiskey, brandy, tequila, rum or port. This listing is new, made of oak, and styled as a vintage-look dispenser.

Is a 30 liter oak barrel good for aging spirits?

Yes, but expect a slower pace. In a larger barrel, each liter touches less wood, so flavor builds gradually. That makes it easier to control than a 1L or 3L cask.

• Swell it first: fill it with water and let the staves tighten before adding spirits or wine.
• Check the hardware: the photos should show whether a spigot, bung and stand are included.
• Char level: not stated, so ask the seller if it's toasted, charred or raw.
• Space: a medium barrel full of liquid is heavy, so plan a sturdy spot.
