About this barrel

Rum collectors and tiki bar builders hunting for a Pyrat Rum display barrel can pick up this used wooden piece for $40.00. It's listed as decor, so think back-bar branding and conversation starter, not an aging vessel.

What is a Pyrat Rum wood display barrel used for?

Branded display barrels like this are usually made for advertising, which is why collectors like them as bar decor. The size isn't stated, so check the listing for dimensions before you plan a spot for it.

• Inspect wear: since it's used, check the photos for scuffs, a faded logo or loose bands.
• Styling ideas: pair it with rum bottles, tiki mugs or nautical accents.
• Not for aging: unless the seller says otherwise, assume it doesn't hold liquid.
• Ask questions: the seller can confirm where it came from and its condition.
