About this barrel
An antique Rochester Root Beer barrel dispenser is the kind of soda fountain advertising piece a whole collection can be built around. This oak barrel has the 5¢ root beer branding named in the title, and an independent eBay seller offers it used for $485.00.
What should I check on an antique soda fountain dispenser?
Condition and completeness matter most. The title doesn't say whether the spigots, lids or inside parts are there, so study every photo and ask the seller.
- Look for clear lettering and original paint on the advertising graphics.
- Confirm the dimensions, since the size is listed only as "other."
- Ask about any restoration, cracks or replaced hardware.
- Plan your display space. A soda fountain barrel makes a strong focal point in a game room or diner-style kitchen.
Your purchase is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
