Wine Barrel, Wood Wine Barrel, Decorative Whiskey Barrel Bucket For Rum, Brandy

About this barrel

This decorative wine barrel is made of oak and listed new at $64.40. The seller describes it as a barrel bucket for rum, brandy or whiskey. It's best treated as a styling piece for a home bar, wine nook or restaurant shelf, not a working cask.

Can a decorative whiskey barrel bucket be used for aging?

The title calls it decor and doesn't mention a char or a tap. If you want to age spirits in it, message the seller first and ask whether the inside is sealed or finished.

• Size: the title doesn't list the capacity, so check the dimensions.
• Display uses: hold bottles, corks or bar tools, or use it as a centerpiece.
• Finish: compare the photos for color and hoop style.
• Care: wipe it dry, and don't leave water in it for long on a decor finish.
