10 liter Steel Hoop Oak BARREL for whiskey and spirits - free engraving

About this barrel

Step up from tabletop minis with a 10 liter oak barrel for whiskey and spirits. It's bound in steel hoops, and the seller offers free engraving. Ten liters is roughly thirteen standard bottles, which is a serious batch for home aging or a big personalized gift.

Is a 10L whiskey barrel slower than a mini barrel?

Yes, somewhat. Larger barrels have less wood surface per liter, so aging is more gradual and often smoother. Plan to taste monthly instead of weekly.

• Engraving: check the listing for text limits and how to send your wording.
• Swelling: fill it with water and let the staves tighten before you add spirits.
• Unknowns: the title doesn't mention char level, a stand or a spigot. Check the item specifics.
• Ideas: a house whiskey, aged rum, or a wedding or retirement keepsake.
