20L Vertical Wooden Wine Barrel w/ Faucet&Bracket for storing whiskey, rum, brandy

About this barrel

A 20L vertical wooden wine barrel stands upright on its bracket and pours from a faucet. That makes it an easy way to keep house wine on tap or show off a batch of whiskey, rum or brandy. This oak barrel is listed new on eBay for $85.50.

Why choose an upright barrel over a horizontal one?

An upright barrel takes up less counter width and puts the faucet at an easy pouring height. That works well in bars, cellars and kitchen corners where space is tight.

• At 20 liters it ages more slowly than small casks, so plan on months, not weeks.
• Swell the oak with water before the first fill and watch for drips.
• Check the listing to see what the bracket is made of and what kind of faucet it has.
• Measure your shelf or cabinet first, since the title doesn't give dimensions.
