5L/1.32Gal Aging Barrel Wooden Whiskey Barrel Bourbon Wine Barrel Home

About this barrel

A small wooden whiskey barrel earns its spot on the bar twice: once as a working 5L oak cask, and again as something guests notice. This new barrel holds 1.32 gallons and is listed for whiskey, bourbon and wine. That makes it an easy gift for anyone who enjoys a good pour.

Where should you keep a 5L whiskey barrel?

Keep it somewhere with a steady temperature, out of direct sunlight. Temperature swings push spirit in and out of the wood faster. That speeds aging but also increases evaporation.

• Set it on a tray or cloth for the first few days in case it weeps.
• Prep it with water before the first fill.
• Don't let it sit empty for long, because dry staves can shrink and leak.
• Confirm the stand and spigot in the listing photos.
