American Oak Aging Barrel (2 Liter) - No Engraving cocktail recipe booklet

About this barrel

A 2 liter American oak aging barrel is a good middle size. It's big enough to age a couple of bottles at once and small enough to add oak character in weeks instead of years. This new one has no engraving, comes with a cocktail recipe booklet and is priced at $26.

How long should you age whiskey in a 2L oak barrel?

There's no fixed rule. Start tasting after a week or two, and bottle it when you like the balance of wood, vanilla and spice. Later fills usually take longer.

• Cure first: fill it with water so the staves swell and seal.
• Blank face: with no engraving, you can personalize it later.
• Beyond whiskey: try rum or tequila, or batched cocktails like a barrel-aged Negroni.
• Char: the level isn't listed, so ask the seller.

Buying it is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
