1.5 L Whiskey Barrel Dispenser Oak Aging Barrels Home Whisky Barrel Decanter New

About this barrel

A 1.5L whiskey barrel dispenser turns a bottle of whiskey into a countertop conversation piece while the oak works on the flavor. This new home whisky barrel decanter holds about two standard 750 ml bottles, which makes it a practical size for your first try at barrel aging.

How fast does a 1.5 liter oak aging barrel work?

Quickly. Small barrels put more wood in contact with each ounce of spirit, so taste every week or so instead of waiting months.

• Swell first: fill it with water for a day or two until the staves seal, then add spirits.
• Good fills: bourbon, rye, rum or a batch of barrel-aged cocktails.
• Check the listing: the title doesn't give the char level or say whether a stand, spigot or bung is included.
• Gift angle: the decanter style suits a birthday or groomsman gift.
