Oak Wood Whiskey Barrel Keg With Tap Hole 11 Inches Tall Iron Banded Old Antique

About this barrel

Searching for an antique oak whiskey barrel keg with real age to it? This used example stands 11 inches tall, is held together with iron bands and has a tap hole bored in the head. That's the classic layout of a small tavern-style cask.

What can an antique oak whiskey barrel keg this size be used for?

At 11 inches tall it fits a bookshelf, mantel or back bar as rustic decor. Whether it can hold liquid again depends on the wood and joints, so treat it as a display piece unless the seller says otherwise.

• The title doesn't mention a tap or spigot, so confirm what's included.
• Look for rust on the iron hoops and gaps between the staves in the photos.
• Capacity isn't given. Ask the seller if it matters to you.
• To test an old keg, soak it with water and watch for leaks before you trust it with spirits.
