5L Wine Barrel Bar Kitchen Wooden Whiskey Beer Aging Barrel with Base & Faucet

About this barrel

A 5L wine barrel with faucet and base is a compact way to start aging whiskey, wine or beer on a kitchen counter or home bar. An independent eBay seller lists this new oak barrel at $48.18. Because it's small, the spirit touches a lot of wood for its volume.

How fast does a 5L wine barrel with faucet age spirits?

Smaller barrels age faster than large casks, so a 5 liter oak barrel can change the flavor sooner. Taste often through the faucet instead of following a fixed schedule.

• Swell the barrel with water before the first fill to tighten the staves.
• The listing doesn't say whether the oak is charred or toasted, so check with the seller.
• The included base keeps the tap at pouring height.
• Your purchase is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
