Jack Daniels Engraved Charred Oak Whiskey Barrel with black painted Metal Bands

About this barrel

This engraved Jack Daniels whiskey barrel combines charred American oak with black painted metal bands, which gives it a darker, more finished look than a raw cask. An independent eBay seller lists it used at $450.00.

What can you do with a used charred Jack Daniels barrel?

Most buyers put it on display, as an accent next to the bar, the base of a side table or a gift for a whiskey fan. The charred oak shows its whiskey roots, but the listing doesn't say it's ready to hold liquid.

• Check the photos to see how and where the engraving appears.
• The size is listed as "other," so confirm the height and diameter with the seller.
• Ask whether the bands are the original hoops painted black or replacements.
