Should you make an offer on a used oak wine barrel?

If the listing accepts offers, a reasonable bid based on what you see in the photos is fair game. Factor in pickup or freight before you send it.

• Ask for dimensions, since the title doesn't give a size.
• Check the photos for rusty hoops, gaps and the condition of the heads.
• Planning to reuse it for wine, beer or vinegar? Swell it with water first.
• Covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.

Popular uses include rustic side tables, planters and garden displays.
