Oak Aging Barrel with Stand, Bung & Spigot, Wooden Aging Cask | Charred American

About this barrel

This charred American oak aging barrel is new and comes with a stand, bung and spigot, so you can age and pour from the first day. Listed at $94.95, it's made for aging whiskey, rum or barrel-aged cocktails at home.

What size is this charred oak aging barrel?

The capacity isn't given in the item details, so check the listing's size options before you buy. Size matters: smaller casks age faster, while larger ones take longer but hold more.

• Char: charring caramelizes sugars in the wood, which adds color and smoothness to spirits. The exact char level should be in the description.
• First fill: swell the barrel with water until it stops leaking, then drain it and fill.
• Taste often: sample through the spigot about once a week so the spirit doesn't get too oaky.
• Hardware included: the stand, bung and spigot are all there, so you don't need to buy extra parts.
