What does 8x5 mean on this mini red head barrel?

The title gives 8x5 with no units or capacity. It may refer to dimensions, but confirm the measurements and volume with the seller.

• Missing plug: measure the bung hole and order a stopper that fits.
• Condition: not stated, so study the photos for gaps between staves.
• Reviving it: soak it with water for several days. Older barrels often take longer to swell.
• Not filling it? The red head makes a striking shelf accent on its own.
