What can you serve from a mini whiskey barrel dispenser?

Whiskey is the classic choice, but a barrel this size also works for rum, brandy or a batch of Old Fashioneds. Keep in mind that the oak keeps adding flavor the longer the liquid sits.

• The one step: swell the barrel with water before the first fill to prevent leaks.
• Serving: pour within a few days for a light oak touch, or leave it longer for more wood flavor.
• Details to verify: the spigot type and char level aren't described here.
• Gift-ready: being new in box makes it an easy present.
