5L/1.32Gal Aging Barrel Wooden Whiskey Barrel Bourbon Wine Barrel Home

About this barrel

This wooden whiskey aging barrel is a new 5L oak cask with room for 1.32 gallons, listed at $28.88 by an independent eBay seller. That price makes it an easy entry point if you have never aged spirits at home before.

What do beginners need besides a wooden whiskey aging barrel?

Not much: water for the initial soak, a funnel, a spirit to age and some bottles for when it is ready. A small notebook helps you remember what worked.

• Soak until leaks stop; minor seepage at first is normal for new wood.
• Start with an unaged or young whiskey to see the biggest change.
• Look over the photos to confirm the hardware included.
• Covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.

It also works for bourbon or wine.
